Basketball Teams Host “Pink Out” Night
On Monday, January 27 the Dragon varsity basketball teams hosted a Coaches vs Cancer Pink Out night vs Ames. The teams helped raise awareness and funds for cancer research, while also recognizing family and community members who have been impacted by cancer. Thank you to all of the parents and coaches that made this great event possible!

National Champions! Dragon Cheer Squad Takes Home Title
This past weekend, the Johnston Dragon competitive cheerleading squad took 1st place at the National Cheerleading Association Nationals in Dallas in the Advanced Small Gamer Performance Division. Congratulations to the squad and coaches on this great accomplishment.
Wrestling Gears Up for Postseason
On Thursday night the Dragons defeated Des Moines North/Hoover 76-6 in the final regular season dual of the season. The 10th ranked Dragons will host the IHSAA Regional Dual on Wednesday, February 12 at JHS and will face the winner of the Dowling/Indianola dual. On Saturday, February 15 the Dragons will once again host the district meet in the run up to the state tournament. The state dual tournament will be held on Wednesday, February 19 at Wells Fargo and the traditional state tournament will be held February 20-22. Get out and support the Dragons in their postseason run.

Wrestling Takes 1st at Waukee Al Garrison Duals
The Johnston varsity wrestling team took home another championship on Saturday, defeating Waukee in the championship dual at the Al Garrison Dual Tournament in Waukee. The Dragons picked up dual victories vs Marshalltown, Perry, DCG, Harlan, and Waukee. Click here for complete dual results at Track Wrestling.
