| The R.O.S.E. award (Recognizing Outstanding Support of Education) recognizes students, staff members, or community members who go "above and beyond" in support of the educational process in the Johnston Community School District. The recipient will have worked to encourage the success of Johnston children in academics, athletics, activities, and/or community services.
Any community member is encouraged to nominate a student, employee or community member who they feel has gone "above and beyond." Nomination forms are available at any school office, Johnston Administrative Resource Center, City of Johnston Public Library, or via the District's Web site. The form requires the nominee’s name, school/organization affiliation, and brief explanation of why they should be selected. The person nominating someone would also need to include his or her name and phone number.
From those nominated, individuals will be selected to receive a R.O.S.E. Award. Each month at a school board meeting, a framed certificate will be presented to the selected nominee(s).
The deadline for nominations is the 25th of each month. If you have questions, please contact Nancy Buryanek at 278-0552. |
