Johnston Dollars for SCHOLARS has crossed a major threshold;
we have provided more than 1 million dollars in scholarships to
our graduating seniors since we founded the organization in 1987. Johnston
Dollars for SCHOLARS is a nonprofit community organization of volunteers
who raise funds to help graduating seniors pursue their dreams.
Our goal is to give EVERY JHS senior financial assistance as they to
continue their education beyond high school. We raise money in the community through
personal and business donations, and at several events held throughout the year. The
Johnston Dollars for SCHOLARS program differs from other scholarships in that
we strive to help every graduating senior who completes the application process.
We
believe everyone deserves a chance to earn a scholarship, regardless
of class rank, financial need, gender, race, creed, or ability. In the
past 20 years, we have awarded 3191 scholarships, and the
need continues to grow as Johnston expands. Our community values education both in the Johnston School
system and beyond. Please come grow with us, and consider supporting
the Johnston Dollars for SCHOLARS program with a donation.
