https://jhsmoodle.johnston.k12.ia.us/ is a website that houses information that you will be looking for throughout the year. Go to the website and click the Principal’s Communication tab, and then Parent Information. Login as a guest to the site. This page will continue to be updated during the school year. The Back to School Night Schedules as well as some of the documents will be posted.
Infinite Campus is the program we use as our student management system. Please look to the Infinite Campus online site to see schedules and locker information (schedules will be available for all 6-12 students on July 28th). The schedule, locker number, and student network/JDragonmail username and password are listed under the Reports tab and the username and password is listed under Network UN/PW tab. Portal Information Guide
Students will be receiving an ID badge and lanyard that they will need to wear EVERY day which will open specified doors in our building during school hours. This will allow us to keep all but the front doors locked during the day.
All who enter the building need to check in with the attendance office. In order to gain access to the building, you must either have a school district ID or have been processed through our Raptor system. Any visitor will need a driver’s license which is scanned against a database to determine if they can be allowed into the building. After the search is run, an ID badge will be printed that a visitor will wear while in the building. This process will be done with all guests who enter district schools, and will allow us to keep better tabs on who enters our buildings. Thank you for your understanding of this process.
School Hours this year are 7:50-2:55.
In addition to our normal schedule, we do have early outs on Wednesdays. Busses will run one hour earlier on these days for students using our transportation system. Students who will be staying at the building for practices after school or wanting to study will be allowed to stay and work at JHS in designated areas during this time.
Parking is limited. Those students who were issued a tag must have a 2014-15 tag in order to legally park on the JHS campus. Students can not park in grassy areas, along the curb or in the blue or yellow grid areas located on the outside of the designated parking areas. If a student is found to be parked in one of those locations, or without a tag, they will be fined. Students can only park in the designated yellow parking areas and will need their tag for the first day of school. Students with a school permit, but do NOT have a tag, must park at City Hall, NOT on 59th Court.

Student iPad Help Site
Students can access the Student iPad Help website to address any questions they may have about their iPad. Students must log in to the content using their jdragonmail account. Staff is also able to help in person if students visit the iPad Headquarters stationed in the high school library.
2015 Graduation and Senior Recognition Night

Senior Recognition Night—Monday, May 18th at 7:00 pm in the big gym (families welcome)
Graduation will be held at the Drake Knapp Center on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 7:00 pm. (no tickets needed)
